At the Dinner Table: A Casual Sims 4 Challenge

It is well known at this point that it is rather difficult to get all of your sims to sit together to have a meal. It’s a challenge on its own. I love food, and I am always looking for new recipes to add to my game. As such, I wanted to create a challenge that would bring fellow simmers and their sims together at the dinner table.

The “rules” are super simple:

Take a screenshot of all the sims that you intend to partake in a meal sitting together having said meal. (So, if you intended for only one sim to be enjoying the meal, do exactly that!)

Tag your posts with #atthedinnertable so that I can see your delicious meals

Bonus Points: Use custom recipes and tag/link the creators (such as (but not limited to) the lovely: @littlbowbub, Icemunmun, and @konansock) orrrrr curate a full course meal using in game content (e.g. “Italian” meal: Starter- Breadsticks; Main Course- Spaghetti (and Italian Meatballs); Dessert: Tiramisu)

On this cold late autumn evening, Hobart knew that it was time to whip out THE token comfort food of the fall before winter came around and crushed his dreams. Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup by the talented @littlbowbub

At The Dinner Table Challenge #4: Sweet Tooth 

The day after the baby shower, Venessa woke up with a major craving for ice cream... at 4:30am. 

None of the nearby stores were open and Jarrod was not willing to risk his life give up there, so he walked his Level 2 Cooking Skill self into the kitchen to attempt to craft some vanilla ice cream while stalling his wife with a milk and oatmeal soak bath.

Luckily, Venessa seemed to appreciate the flavor of the ice cream far more than Jarrod did, but it’s a good thing he stuck it out until the end because Venessa gave him a real sweet treat after breakfast~ 

Cheek kisses are Jarrod’s favorite type of kisses~

After waiting all week, Royalty and Braydon finally went out on their second first date, hopefully the ride is smoother this time.

At The Dinner Table Challenge #3: Adventurous Lunch

Miracle Gardner’s goal in life had always been to try every new food that she could around the world no matter what it took. So when she heard of a new recipe that could only be cooked in the most remote parts of Sulani, she knew she had to try it out. So she ventured out, unprepared and excited, to Mua Pel’am determined to learn the new cuisine.

Boiling Frog Hot Pot

After she arrived at the admiral’s wreckage, locals told her if she was a skilled cook she would only need to catch two frogs from the waterfall before she would be able to cook their delicacy. With expectation bubbling up inside of her she ran off to the waterfall and collected the frogs. She followed the natives’ instructions and made the Hot Pot over the grill.

Sitting down to taste it in the wreckage, she initially noticed it’s particularly ...slimy texture. But with the second bite, she was hooked to the invigorating flavor combination of peppercorns and boiled frog. 

“This is one for the recipe books!”

Let’s just hope she doesn’t get indigestion~

At The Dinner Table Challenge #2: Tea Time

Annabelle recently bought a quaint starter home in Bridgeview, Newcrest. It being her first home, she was very excited to meet the neighbors. She heard that there was a mysterious Welcome Wagon that always knew exactly when a new neighbor moved in and came bearing fruitcake. So she spent the entire morning making berry macarons to share with the neighbors!

                                            *3 hours of waiting later* 

“.....so is the Welcome Wagon still coming?“

*searches Welcome Wagon routes and arrival times*

“...so you’re telling me that no one lives in my ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD??? ლ(¯ロ¯"ლ) Then what are those houses across the street?!? Decoration???”

Well, more red tea and berry macarons for Annie!
