Today is the second day of The Feast for the Three Days of the Writing of the Book of the Law in the Thelemic Calendar. On this day, April 9th, under direction from his first wife and Scarlet Woman, Rose Edith Kelly, Aleister Crowley wrote the second chapter of Liber AL vel Legis (The Book of The Law) as was "transmitted" to him from a shadowy presence which identified itself as "Aiwass".
The second day is sometimes called the "Feast of Hadit", after the second god of the Thelemic "trinity", and the speaker of the second chapter.
"I am the flame that burns in every heart of man, and in the core of every star. I am Life, and the giver of Life, yet therefore is the knowledge of me the knowledge of death.”
Liber AL vel Legis (The Book of The Law) II:6
