Ring of Fire
Sempiternal
The last thing Anna Zhu felt was a sharp pain in her stomach from where John Gilbert had stabbed her with a stake, the life slowly drained from her body and everything went black. Then she was lost. She didn't know where she was just that she was alone. There were bits and pieces of her conversations with Jeremy but that's about it. It was like her brain was in a fog and her memory wasn't functioning properly. The last solid memory she had was finally finding her mother. She was at peace, she could watch over those that she cared about with ease. But life liked to work in funny ways and throw curveballs whenever it got the chance. Anna was never able to crossover with her mother before the other side came crashing down. She was stuck on the other side once more, and this time she couldn't reach out to anyone. It felt as if she was going to be there for eternity, however she wasn't there for long at all. There was a bright and blinding light as Anna opened her brown hues, her pupils slowly dilating until it wasn't as bright. She slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes before she looked around. "Where am I?" She asked and licked her dry lips.
---Months Later---
The streets of Mystic Falls looked as if they had remained the same since Anna's death sometime ago, and she honestly couldn't help but reminisce to those days. Though she didn't want to admit it, she had missed Mystic Falls. It was her home, and the only place that she had known, honestly. So when Davina Claire had resurrected Anna she had to fight the urge to return sooner. New Orleans was a very beautiful location to visit, but it wasn't home. When she finally had enough courage to actually step foot in the town she felt as if everyone was staring at her. At least those of whom who had known of her death. The moment she walked into the Mystic Grill she was met with familiar faces who's reactions of shock and disbelief where ones that she had expected. She could feel the stares of the Salvatore brothers follow her as she made her way to order because after centuries of being a vampire she had to admit that she loved the taste of their fries. If the two of them had reacted like that, how was Jeremy going to react? He was the one who had been on her mind ever since she began her journey back to Mystic Falls. Was he going to accept that she was back? Would he even still have feelings for her? That was if Elena was even going to let them be within each others presence. Elena wasn't too fond of Anna, and she had made that very clear. Though Anna wasn't very good at making proper first impressions. All these thoughts were running though her mind and it wasn't helping that people were still staring at her. Paying for her order she quickly left. She was going to wait to find Jeremy but she figured she should probably do it now rather than later..
Within a few days Anna had managed to somewhat get on the decent side of Elena and her group of friends. Though she was mainly doing it for Jeremy..and to be able to walk around Mystic Falls without being chaperoned. There had been a discussion of the group going up to the cabin for the weekend; a nice relaxing getaway to destress from all the chaos and commotion that had occurred recently. Not expecting to be invited, or included it surprised her that Jeremy insisted that she go. "No, it's alright. I'll get the town to myself." She joked which caused her to get a bad reaction from the group. "Actually, that might be a good idea. She'll be watched all the time." Piped up Caroline who was taking pleasure in Anna's discomfort. Anna glared at the blonde female, remembering her disdain for her. But she wasn't the only one unhappy about it, it seemed as if everyone was a bit annoyed that she had to go. Anna took in a deep breath as she slowly turned the wheel, driving her car onto the turn off that lead to the Salvatore's cabin. Thankfully she had been at least to drive herself, it saved her the headache from Damon and Stefan's constant bickering and Caroline's gossiping..Or worse her scolding. When she reached the cabin she ran her fingertips through her dark locks and parked the car making sure to leave room for the others. Switching off the ignition she grabbed her bag and paused for a moment. There was no way that she was going to be able to enter without being invited. Sighing a little she had no choice but to wait on the front porch. She was sitting there for almost twenty minutes when another car pulled up. Slowly getting up she frowned a little seeing that it was Elena. They had been the first two which made it even more awkward. Anna waited for the female and gave her a small smile "I can't get in without an invitation. You think you could help me out...Please?"
