Leo Fitz entered Shield college for his first day as the new engineering teacher and immediately got lost. Maybe it was nerves, he was in fact only twenty and bound to not be taken seriously, maybe it was the fact that he overslept and hadn’t had the time to make a cup of coffee—but the point still stood that he was undoubtedly lost and very embarrassed.

“Excuse me,” he called to a kind-looking stranger. “Can you tell me where room 201B is?”

Teachers’ Lounge-OPEN

Leo Fitz entered the Shield College teachers’ lounge at half-noon, breaking straight for the tea cupboard. He noticed one of his colleagues staring at the sizable bruise on his cheek and said, “An ex-friend of mine dragged me to a club last night where, what with my extraordinary social skills and all, ran directly into someone about four minutes after we got there, spilling a very expensive glass of wine all over this lovely young gentleman, and promptly had my arse handed to me in some darkened alleyway. Pardon my language.” Fitz was just glad that it was lunch so he could hide in the teachers’ lounge at least briefly.

“And of course, because I’m always lecturing my students about fighting, they jumped at the opportunity to throw it right back in my face.” He switched to a high-pitched, English accent. “Sir, you been fightin’ again? You know it’s against the rules, innit? How you ever gonna be an upstandin’ citizen wif such poor ability to follow the rules?“
