So I'm in an inescapable bubble of college freshman statuses.

AND it has reminded me of how terribly excited, nervous, and even scared I was. So if any of you ever ever need any advice (especially during these first few weeks) do not hesitate to simply ask. I'll be more than happy to help no matter the question :)

Hello class of 2016!

As some of you may know, American University houses a Women's Resource Center, Multicultural Affairs Office, and a GLBTA (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies) Resource Center.  Starting in the fall, these offices will branch together under the Center of Diversity Inclusion or CDI.  Here is the new AU website for CDI.

Also, if you have any questions feel free to message me. I'm a student worker in the GLBTA Resource Center as well as the Director of LGBTQ Advocacy for AU's Student Government. Welcome to AU :)

Hi those of American University!

Greetings to both new (welcome!) and returning students.  I would like to introduce myself, my name is Tyler Bowders and I will be serving as the Student Government Director of LGBTQA Advocacy for the upcoming year.

Now, I'm somewhat starting to think on what kind of issues/programming to work on in the upcoming year and I would love love love your input as much as possible.  So if you have an idea of an issue you feel needs addressed (related to LGBTQA), a program/outreach you would like to see developed, or even ideas for a possible speaker or entertainer feel free to inbox me HERE.
