The girl looked incredibly downtrodden -- something was definitely eating at her. Well, then again -- So would anyone, after being abandoned. He could relate. He hardly remembered his parents faces. He... he didn’t know who they were. Not anymore.
He had his deck of course. That was his life -- the only thing that truly, honestly could matter now. A very put-together, stitched-up deck, mind you... But that was generally how things were, when you were a Commons.
“It’s okay.” The offer of a hand, holding it out. He wanted her to feel like she belonged -- Sora was reminded of his younger sister by this girl. The difference being of course, Miu was... Not alive. She’d died a few years prior.
“You’re not alone.”
Things he wanted to say, but couldn’t, to his own sister. A warm smile, turning to a grin before he lightly teased. “So -- Come on! Turn that frown upside down~ You’ll be fine!”
Laughter -- even though he was nervous himself. He always was. Things were tense. “Don’t worry about it!”
