I was only trialing this medication anyways, the messages were to update on how poorly it was going and to ask HOW TO GET OFF IT SAFELY SO IT DOESNT GIVE ME SEIZURES FFS cause that would be luck given I've had just about every other bad side effect you can have.

I know reading comprehension has gone out the window, I see the lack of it on the daily with my own patients, but oh my god, does it drive me up the wall every time

The brain fog today is bad. Thankful for having done my job for so long I can go on auto pilot or it would have been even worse word salad trying explain this exam first thing this morning. I can barely spell rn (thank you autocorrect)

Supposed to be even hotter today than yesterday, thankfully my sister's show is earlier so they'll be done before the worst the of it. Just mean I have to decide between convering my sunburn or wearing pants so I don't get eaten by flies again

It's 85° outside, supposed to get to 88° today.....so naturally we had to turn the space heater on cause the trailer is freezing. Can't wait for our new building and actually getting to scan inside

I don't mind religion. But it's something personal, not something that needs to be forced onto someone else, let alone have a discussion about it be forced onto someone.

It especially has no place at a medical appointment unless it pertains to your beliefs specifying what kind of medical care you can receive for yourself.

Stop trying to shove down my throat that you think I need to "read the Bible" when I'm just trying to take images of your brain. Stop pushing it just because I "have tattoos on" so of course I need to hear your truth about your god when I'm trying to give you discharge instructions and tell you about how long for your exam results. I am at work. It's neither the time, nor the place, nor do I even remotely want to engage with this. Should only need one polite refusal and then drop it. But no. Just leave me alone ffs

Absolutely despise the online check in through our patient portal. It's supposedly geofenced....but it's not even remotely accurate. People can check in while they're still 10 miles away, but shows up as them being in the building and makes a mess.

We literally just had a patient that was able to check in for her exam through the portal....while she was at an incorrect location almost two cities over (granted it's like 8 miles, but still. You aren't onsite here and that's the point)

Or it'll just mark the patient as "present" but they're not fully checked in which is a whole other ordeal.

We get a lot of spam calls at work. Like 90% of the phone calls we get are spam calls tbh

A lot of them are with the call spoofing(?) so they come up as a local or internal number.

Sitting here scanning, phone rings. My partner goes to answer and before she grabs it looks up at me and "the morgue is calling?"

Then weirder yet, the person calling said they were looking for that morgue that our caller id said they were calling from....more confusing yet, I'm at an outpatient facility 10 miles away. We have no morgue in my building, it's not even a hospital. Why is the morgue calling us, looking for themselves???

Just had my long stretch off from work. Was reading back through the huddle chat to see what I missed and someone mentioned my dad 😭

For context, dad was one of the dept educators, did all of radiology CPR recerts, and was the clinical instructor for all the students. He'd also been at the hospital for 40 yrs. It was a well known fact dad was a huge U of M fan, so someone mentioned him before the basketball championship this weekend.

Just nice to see that even 5.5 yrs after he passed people are still talking about him at work 🥺
