My husband and I have talked about wanting kids for a long time and we finally decided that this is something we wanted. We're definitely not the first people to have kids in-sys, but we have little communication with the others who have done this before (different sidesystem). A mutual friend is expecting so at least I can bombard them with questions about it.

I'm nervous and excited and I have almost no idea what to expect but !!! I've wanted to be a parent for so long it hardly matters.

Submission From Launchpadtriumphant!

I was sitting across from her in a taco shop on Third Avenue. We were the only people sitting down at the tables because it was almost eleven and the place was about to close. There was a young man about sixteen or fifteen across the room cleaning one of the tables with a rag and trying not to look at us. We were both finished with our food and drinks and we were just talking because there was nothing else to do. She was starting to weedle her way into me. Shaking the empty styrofoam cup and leading me around to different questions.

“Do you do everything in spite of your brother?”

“…most things, yeah.”

“Why?”

“Pfft, I dunno, I…I think I’m just used to doing that." 

"Oh…well, that sucks.” It did, but I didn’t want to talk about any of that, so I changed the subject.
