WHEN: Tuesday (any), 6:49 PM. WHERE: Outside a liquor store near Sea Of Ink. WHO: Aubrey Bram!
It’d been five months since he’d moved back to his hometown; four months, three weeks, and two days since he’d wished he hadn’t. In no way, shape, or form had it been easy coming back and readjusting to small-town life in a small town that probably preferred he stay away from it. Especially when he felt he’d been forced to return. But he was getting used to things... slowly. It was better now than it was his first week back, at least. Still, he missed the city life—and the faces that reminded him of it. Unfortunately, he didn’t expect to see any of those faces again any time soon. Well... at least that was until he spotted the familiar dark mess of hair bouncing past the window outside.
Lars had been waiting at the front for the cashier to ID him when he caught her out of the corner of his eye. The man slid his ID back to him and began bagging his bottle of Grey Goose when the drug dealer started furrowing his brows, tilting his head, watching her pass. Confirming she was Aubrey from her profile, confusion overpowered his features. The lanky brunette grabbed his ID, alcohol, and left the store to chase after her. “Hey!” He called from behind, already out of breath. “If I knew you were gonna be here, I would’ve asked for a ride.” Yeah, it would’ve been nice to have stayed in L.A. for a few extra months, but it was a sure bet his mom would be homeless if he’d waited until now to come back.
