Derek WAS super immature and bad in the beginning though… that said when I watched Grey’s it was years ago and I was ignorant towards most bad character actions. I hope you get both my replies lol

haha im sorry idk why the yelling this was so funny to me but uGH HE'S SO FUCKING TERRIBLE TO ADDISON AND EVEN MEREDITH. like i watched it back in the day too and he was all ~mcdreamy~~ and perfect hair and dumb everything but now rewatching it as an educated adult im like WOW WHAT A NIGHTMARE OF A HUMAN BEING.

he's so fucking manipulative and every time he doesn't get his way, he guilts everyone around him and makes them believe that everything that's happened is their fault. he slut-shames meredith, treats addison like the scum of the earth, waves meredith around in her face with no concern for her feelings whatsoever, pressures meredith into sex like a gross fratboy, and walks around like an asshole making fun of addison for still wearing their wedding rings after the divorce and calling himself "bright and shiny" and making jokes about how the chief isn't happy to be separated from his wife because most men aren't when that happens "EXCEPT FOR ME HAHA" even though she's clearly still having a really hard time letting go

ugh he's just the worst most manipulative nice guy piece of shit. and obvs its WAY different from burke and cristina because he legit uses their job as a bartering piece and holds it above her head every time she looks at him the wrong way like there is some serious psychological abuse going on in that relationship w0w0w0w but like idk, there is a lot of emotion abuse and sexual pressure and manipulation coming from derek and it grosses me out that these are our leading men in the first few seasons (despite the fact that the show is mostly centered around women, tons of them of color and varying sexualities. like can i get an amen about the representation praise jesus hallelujah)
