Episode 11: Franchise Chat, or "Doesn't Fight Dracula, Only Eats French Fryses"
Our Eleventh Episode, Franchise Chat, or "Doesn't Fight Dracula, Only Eats French Fryses"
Despite being recorded close to April Fools, we decided to avoid shenanigans in this week's episode. James talks about his gruesome death and loss of limbs twenty years ago. The conversation causes vanderfist to temporarily be dismembered, much like James. Despite the legal trouble between he and Darnell, Matthew brags about how he dined on the most delicious ramen in the city. Darnell reflects on finally overcoming his struggle with his girl games, but is now caught in a losing argument over checking out girls (and guys...apparently.)
While fattening up on french fryses, James brings up franchises and how one becomes interested in them. He also talks about how reading a summary of a franchise can get somebody interested in it, but the actual franchise may be a let down for them. This leads to Darnell talking about the audience of those franchises. Can the audience actually fail at their job as an audience? And if they do fail, how can they succeed?
Music credits for the episode go to:
As always, we credit Kevin McLeod for "Acid Jazz" , our impromptu theme music! His royalty free music is what helps podcasters like us avoid paying for songs with expensive copyrights.
We also credit Verdegrand for his "Castlevania Piano Medley"! We were sheddin' bloody tears of joy the whole time it played! Be sure to listen to the other stuff on his channel!
