Sam Petts-Davies (Nigel’s assistant) posted this alternate perspective of Nigel’s rack gear and consoles in what looks to be a very soundstage-like space. He captioned the pic “Setting up for Studio Venezia...” His hashtags also reference Xavier Veilhan and the Biennale di Venezia, an exhibition put together by the group of the same name in Venice.
The description of the exhibition from Veilhan’s site:
“Xavier Veilhan imagines an overall environment that encompasses the entire surface of the pavilion altering our perception of it. An installation made of wood and tissue, in a formal vocabulary borrowed from the universe of the recording studio.
A multitude of volumes between sculpture and scenery overlap until they become a forest from which exceptional instruments emerge - some borrowed and others created for the occasion.
Various musicians from all backgrounds, sound engineers and musical programmers are called upon to activate the structure and turn it into the ideal arena for their creations during the seven months of the biennial.
A daily musical programme will offer the visitors moments of sound -and musical experimentation, composition and recording.
The pavilion becomes a place of fusion between contemporary art and music, in the framework of the Bauhaus and Black Mountain College experiences.”
The only additional thing to see (aside from cable snakes and what look like small mixers on the side, possibly for headphones) is the console in the back corner (with the man working on it). It also looks like they took the EQH-2 out of the rack.
