I would like to know more about weird forms of ammonites, do you have any favourites?
a few months ago i answered an ask about my favorite ammonite, spiroceras:
but one isnt enough.
OTHER TOP TIER AMMONITES:
polyptychoceras, also called “paper clip ammonite” or “candy cane” because yknow. it looks like a paper clip, candy cane, or, as it is in my eyes, some type of jazz instrument
emericiceras, which is cool because its spiky
and audoliceras, a heteromorphic (meaning uncoiled shell) ammonite
