stabbage [auger]
▬ You know, sometimes he has to wonder who in the world Kanesada must think he is. If he can’t ask for Kashuu to come meet him on his own, then he must be really full of it-- even if the shorter of the two swords doesn’t like Auger, he does still feel like it’s a little extreme to have him do messenger jobs for Kanesada. The fellow Shinsengumi sword isn’t royalty or anything like that, but maybe he bumped his head on his way into Hive City and clearly forgot that or something. Yeah, that sounds about right.
Kashuu has half the mind not even to show up. It wouldn’t be the first time he flat out said no to Kanesada anyway, but he’s the better person of the two of them (obviously!) so he decides to be nice and make an appearance regardless of the other’s rude way of inviting him. He reaaaally can’t even come up with anything that he would want from him, so maybe it’s less kindness and more being curious at that, but hey, that’s just what they say, right? ‘Curiosity killed the cat’?
Upon arriving, it doesn’t take him that long to figure out that something just isn’t adding up here. In fact, as far as he can tell, Kanesada isn’t even at the designated meeting place-- the only ‘person’ (if you can call him that) here is the messenger boy from earlier and... honestly... ugh. Kashuu doesn’t particularly have the patience for him to begin with. He makes that quite clear, too, with his next words:
“Why are you he-- never mind that. What do you want? No, wait-- I mean, what’s so unimportant that Kane-san can’t even show up on his own? Puh-lease. I have better places to be, so let’s hear it!”
