Trick or Treat with Mikitaka plz!

Mikitaka was looking forward to doing all of these Halloween festivities. He was unfamiliar with so many customs of Earth, and didn’t seem to understand what the season of Halloween entailed. He was thankful he had you to help him attempt to understand these strange traditions. The ritual he was most curious about participating in was pumpkin carving. He watched carefully as you explained how to carve a pumpkin, and while he seemed to nod that he understood when it was finally time for him to start carving he took out such great chunks of the pumpkin it looked like he wasn’t going to have anything left.
"Keep carving your pumpkin like that and there won't be any pumpkin left!" You chimed in, hoping to be able to stop him from losing any more of his pumpkin.
“Am I not doing this right?” Mikitaka asked, he sounded a bit concerned. He thought he was doing the carving just right, but then he realized that most of it was carved out and realized he wouldn’t be able to really make a design on it.
“Here… Let me show you.” You set his pumpkin aside and grabbed another one. It’s a good thing you got a couple of extras in case this happened. At least now he could follow along with you with a fresh pumpkin as you focused on carving yours too.
“Ok, so let’s start here.” You showed Mikitaka as you began to carefully cut along the top of the pumpkin.
Mikitaka watched you carefully and nodded. He made sure to copy everything you were doing to make sure he didn’t mess up this time. He wanted to make sure to get to the part where he could carve out a little face on the pumpkin after all.
“So… after doing this, we clean this out… and after this is done, then we can start on actually making a face on the pumpkin.” You explained. “Wow, so fascinating! You must be a professional.” Mikitaka’s eyes were lit up as he watched you do all of these steps so effortlessly! He was also very curious about the pumpkin guts that you seemed to toss aside, yet you saved the little seeds… “Are the pumpkin guts edible?”
You couldn’t help but giggle a little at the way Mikitaka described the pumpkin, “Oh. Yeah. They have seeds on the inside. You can eat them, or use them to plant more pumpkins.”
“Fascinating.” Mikitaka was very intrigued by this ritual involving Pumpkins and their guts.
“You’re so cute…” You said with a small giggle as you began to focus on carving out the details of your pumpkin.
“Are you calling the pumpkin cute?” Mikitaka asked tilting his head to the side.
“No. I’m calling you cute, silly.” You giggled some more before leaning over to kiss his cheek.
“Oh. The pumpkin is cute too… but thank you. I think you’re very cute as well.” Mikitaka returned a kiss to your cheek.
“You’re so weird. I love it.” You said with a big smile as you continued to focus on your pumpkin.
“Thank you. I’m so glad you love it…” Mikitaka felt so happy to be by your side, and he was curious of the other Earthly customs you’d teach him!
