“I’m kind of surprised no one else has shown up yet.” She steps into the large study and promptly drops sideways into an armchair so she can reach to pull off her heels. “I don’t know if that’s somehow better or worse.” Sighing in relief, Marcella drops her shoes to the floor before curling up on the chair, folding her knees to her chest.
