Pride month may be over, but next month is Acegust
August and April are officially the months of ace.
I went to my first pride event last week (for my birthday) and I just have to say..
Seeing the gays dance, and kiss, and hold hands made me sooooo happy
I live in a province where our premier is actively trying to take away our rights. With how much hate I see online and how much support she gets.. I figured my city just didn't have any queer people. Sure some came from surrounding communities, but there were at least a few thousand people that came, and that was just who was left by the time I got there in the evening.
I wish we could be more openly queer without hate..
But until then I'm just so happy I got to witness their happiness
