Happy New Year from Because We’re Here! Here’s hoping 2022 is at least a little better than the lousy last couple of years.

I thought I’d share this beautiful piece of fanart from Brit (from Windmill Corner, the BWH Discord server)! Ouch, my feelings.

(Needless to say, if you’ve not played Act I of bittersweet WW1 otome VN Because We’re Here, it’s available on Itch and Steam if you’d like to better understand this piece~!)

The new year is bringing a small amount of cool BWH news! I’m hoping to make the Act III Steam page public later on this month, and talk much more specifically about a release date. Exciting! I imagine the first few months of 2022 will be me slowly trying to build up publicity towards the release~

I’m also going to continue posting the collection of fanart I’ve received via Twitter/Discord - I think it’ll make for some really cool posts on this tumblr, as well as building up a nice archive in the Fanart tab!

I'm very happy to announce that (bittersweet WW1-era otome visual novel) Because We're Here has been selected for AdventureX Narrative Games Convention 2019, on the 2nd-3rd November at the British Library in London!

It's super exciting to be taking part!! It looks like a great lineup. The first round of tickets has sold out, but apparently there are a few more going on sale on 4th September.

(I can now *technically* say BWH is ‘to be exhibited at the British Library’, hahaha. Which is a phrase I didn’t ever expect to have in my arsenal! Crikey.)

Act II is going well and I’ll get on the update train for that soonish. But I thought I’d share this lovely bit of news in the meantime!

The final instalment of prodigious Because We’re Here fan yaneko_002′s Twitter artwork! A standalone illustration of Elfriede, and then a three-part comic! Warning: spoileriffic if you’ve not played Act I yet, haha. [4/4]

Yaneko’s artwork is consistently beautiful. I’m super honoured that they’ve devoted so much time and energy to Because We’re Here fanart!

(By the way. Act II’s really coming along! More info on that in the next couple of weeks. But I’m back posting again, which is usually a good sign, innit. ^^)

For the uninitiated - Because We're Here is an episodic otome visual novel in an unforgiving WW1-inspired setting. There's a full list of all the characters (most of whom are potential love interests) HERE!

It's hopefully going to be released around the 19th July, but I'll keep you posted. There's not much more to say right now other than: have a look! :D  The Steam page also features the brand new trailer!!
