BACKGROUND:

Augustine grew up as a charismatic and outgoing member of the Lycaon pack, with little doubt among his family that he would present as an alpha in due time. He often took on a protective role among friends, and was considered both reliable and hard working. Augustine was one of several children his parents had, but the only male.

As he grew up, he showed an interest in business and pursued an education in finance and eventually found work at a bank by Dymock, working mostly among witches. A little over 30 years back Augustine got into a fight at a bar with a more notable witch from one of the city’s covens. The individual happened to be a coworker he didn’t get along well with. Several anti-were comments were made insulting Augustine, and the situation quickly turned into a physical altercation. During this fight, Augustine “accidentally” lost control and bit the witch. As punishment, he was sentenced to 30 years in Zamok Penitentiary. The harshness of the punishment shocked Augustine, and left him questioning just how equal his kind were viewed in the eyes of others. During this period of Augustine’s life he became more withdrawn and quiet. 

Augustine cut ties with his pack once he was officially released, despite still being in good relations with his cousin, Caleb. His release occurred several months after Caleb became Alpha of the Lycaon pack. He now operates as a lone wolf, and relocated after his release to Garond, moving into the Hereafter. Continuing a career in finance was no longer an option for Augustine however, finding himself blacklisted from any witch owned bank, and even noticing some difficulties in attracting opportunities from vampire-owned ones now as an ex-convict. Not wanting to cause more drama by pushing matters, he instead sought out opportunities in the field of security. Augustine now works as a personal body guard for high profile individuals who are willing to overlook his past. He also moonlights as a Dom at Vicium as both a social outlet and means of pulling in extra cash.

UPDATE: Upon his death, Augustine body hopped as a spirit and took over the soulless corpse of his killer, Faust Highmore. Faust was a dark witch and Artemis supporter. He was covenless and like many dark witches, had extended his life via a demon contract. Ability-wise he was a former Body Magic Expert, specializing in Animal Magic, Shadow Magic and Transmutation Magic specifically. He had basic abilities in other forms of magic. Faust utilized these abilities to spy on other members of the supernatural community and as a weapon for attacking others while looking like a wolf on full moons.
