If T makes you gain weight and E and antidepressants do it too, and so does enjoying good food and not being hungry all the time, then perhaps maybe sometimes joy & weight gain come hand in hand and that's good

'Transfem DIY HRT' and 'Transmasc DIY HRT' are a pair of zines aimed at teaching transgender people how to safely self-administer DIY Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
Both zines are 100% free to download here from Little Mouse (who also made the zine). Print, share and distribute to those who need it!
The information contained in this zine is collated from, and openly available from, DIYHRT.info. PS: Follow FANZINES on BlueSky... 👀
When I started my transition and began to come out to a few more folks than the tiny few that knew about me, there was something I kept saying as a part of my spiel…
“This is what I am, not who I am.”
I think I believed it fully at the time.
But then the interaction in the comic above occurred this past summer and completely changed my mind. Sure, being trans is something that I just am, but it’s also something that can be part of who I am as well.
Seeing that kid completely light up the way they did sparked in me a desire that I really didn’t think I’d ever have. Suddenly, that kid made me want to be visible.
Like the comic says, I wasn’t ready to be publicly out so I felt safer lying about myself at the time, but I truly hope that the next time I’m up there they have the opportunity to see me…
…a transgender person who’s included and having fun, just like we all should be.
Chrimsus post! Marty krampus @mx-risa-moved this post exists because you asked.
Cons of starting testosterone:
1. You’re legally required to go to Jupiter to get more stupider.
2. Being chained up all the time or something.
Make sure to keep this in mind before starting hrt.
"Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Wednesday announced a new effort to annually screen service members’ testosterone levels and offer testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), framing it as a way to keep troops on the “leading edge of lethality.”
The screening, added as part of war fighters’ periodic health assessment, will affect troops age 30 and older, though those under 30 can voluntarily choose to get the test, Hegseth said in a video message posted to X."
