Here's my August wrap-up! Some of these are actually going to be part of my September TBR because I didn't finish: A Gathering of Shadows, My Lady Jane, and City of Lost Souls. I thought I'd finish them at the time I took the picture! 😁 I'm really enjoying them though! . Not picture because they were library books: Shadows of Self and The Bands of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson (Can't wait for the next book!) and Saga volume 1 (graphic novel). . Nine books finished this month! Yay! . I enjoyed so many books. Winter was amazing! AGOS and MLJ are so good too! I'm close to finishing and I think these might also be my favorites of the month too. . How'd you guys do? . Thanks to everyone who participated in the flash giveaway on Wednesday. 💭 What was your favorite August read? . I can not believe August is over 😱 But it's also about to be my FAVORITE season...FALL 🍂 So I'm really glad for that! . I'm also halfway through the Illuminae audio, which is a re-read for me! The audio is AMAZING! I'm still reading Scarlet, I'm enjoying it but I think I've just not been in the mood for it. I'm also halfway through The Young Elites, which I'm currently obsessing over!! . Also, take my DNFs with a grain of salt most of the time. If I don't feel a book is going to be a 4 or 5 star for me, I DNF. I only care to spend time in books I LOVE. I had that one 2 star because it was a 4 then the ending royally pissed me off 😑 . All the books I rated high, I seriously urge you to pick them up! As mentioned in a previous post, I’m a big Jane Austen fan. Pride and Prejudice is my all time favorite book. After I read it, I wanted to read more about Elizabeth and Darcy and the what-ifs. Thank the book goddess for fanfic! I used to be an avid fanfic reader and writer (a million years ago), so it’s fun to see Jane Austen and/Pride and Prejudice inspired stories out in the wild. . These were all impulse/cover buys! I’ve gotten a lot better at not impulse buying books, but it’s really hard to resist used books sales! At 75 cents to $2, I can’t say no to a continuation of Darcy and Elizabeth’s story. Also, the covers are gorgeous! . I’ve only had a chance to read Me and Mr. Darcy (cute and fun). I don’t like judging books by their covers, so I’m pretty open to trying out anything! I’m eager to get to Pemberley Ranch. Here’s the summary from Goodreads: .
