s.s. freddi
according to everyone she had talked to on the subject of gus, books was the way to go. she went to a used book store so she could get more than one and there was just something about it she loved, whether it was the anonymous scribbles in the margins or the perfectly yellowed pages. she picked up a favorite of hers the colorado kid by stephen king, the red cover helped the crime novel look somewhat festive. even if that was a stretch she picked up a leather bound collection of christmas stories by charles dickens, freddi was a big fan of a christmas carol so she placed the ribbon bookmark there. once they were wrapped in glittery snowflake paper they were ready to be dropped off in august’s mailbox, too bad he caught her red handed.
