Jude couldn't say no; he knew that there was still some risk while Yvette and Jamie were missing, but he was dying to get out and walk around.

So he got dressed as fast as he could and went out of the house, eager to explore Ravenwood and do what he loved the most (apart from writing): being nosy.

(and Augusto and Eleonora, with the house all to themselves for the first time in forever, also enjoyed Jude's first day out)

That day, the Professor noticed he was feeling down and decided to end the class early.

Augusto: Jude, are you ok?

Jude: not really... I am grateful for everything you have done for me, Professor, but...

Augusto: you feel trapped inside this house, right?

Jude: a little bit...

Augusto: we may have been a little overprotective... do you want to go out?

Jude: what? Really?

Augusto: well, Ravenwood is a safe place, Grim and the Order run this and they do not let anyone, alive or dead, enter without a reason. It will do you good to get some fresh air

Jude smiled; he really liked that idea.

Every morning, after showing Mordecai who was the boss and while Eleonora was busy with her own activities inside her studio, Jude had one hour of class with Augusto.

With the sound of the piano softly playing upstairs, Jude enjoyed having his favourite teacher to himself, sharing his knowledge with him.

But, at the same time, he missed life on campus and spending time with the members of the Literature class, and wished he could see them again.

"The house is beautiful and decorated nicely, although it also has an air of decadence and sometimes I feel the walls are observing me or some strange shivers down my spine.

It does not help that, while the Professor sleeps, Eleonora likes to wander in the dark and I tend to find her behind every corner or standing in silence in random rooms, like an apparition.

Do vampires have heart attacks? I hope we don't, because I don't think I can handle anymore scares!

The worst thing is, I think the situation entertains her and I have become a joke to her.

The last thing I wanted to tell you is that I got a job! Professor Goth is teaching me at home (I think he feels guilty because I had to leave University) but I needed another intellectual challenge and now I work as a ghost writer; it's not perfect, but it's a start, right?

I hope my letter didn't bore you but, as you can see, I had so much I wanted to tell you, mom.

Please, send hugs to dad and Juniper and Jacinto and tell them that I miss them all.

"The fact that I am complaining does not mean I don't feel grateful towards the Professor, of course I do! He has accepted me in his home kindly and has done everything he can to make me feel welcome here.

Unfortunately, his kindness is not enough to alleviate the pain I feel every time I think about Apollo.

And if I think about him, I think about Luzía, and how unfair it is that we can't be together during these difficult times.

I miss them both so much their absence feels like a stone pressing down on my chest and at the same time, even if I know that this wouldn't have happened if it wasn't because of his actions, I can't help but miss Jamie, too."

A few days later, Jude arrived to the place he was going to call home from now on.

Standing in front of the imposing façade of Professor Goth's house, Jude tried to gather the courage to enter, while his hosts waited for his arrival inside.

Jude: come on, Jude; this is the beginning of a new chapter in your life...

A devastated Lux tried to defend his second son.

Lux: Jamie was missing for some years and we couldn't find him... now I can see my mother was waiting for the perfect moment to use him

Augusto: I'm sorry to hear that, but it's obvious your son is a threat

Bloom: there must be a way to find them, I will talk to Morgyn and the new Sages to see what we can do

Lily: but meanwhile, Yvette is out there and they could attack again any moment! This campus is not safe for Jude anymore!

Professor Goth rubbed his chin pensively.

Augusto: I believe there is a solution for that... it's not much, but I can offer my home in Ravenwood and keep him safe there, as a member of the Order of Lenore

When they heard those words they all agreed that Ravenwood was the perfect place if you wanted to be hidden.

Lux: I sincerely thank you, Augusto. Please, keep my oldest son safe

There was someone who had not participated in the conversation, and that was Cirilla.

She had something more important to do.

Life at the dorm had stopped.

Jude was inside his room, trying to wrap his head around what happened just hours earlier, trying to come to terms with Apollo's death.

They had separated the whole group and, downstairs, Professor Goth was reunited with Jude's family and was holding a serious conversation with them.

Augusto: this is grave, it's the first time something like this happens on campus... also, Jude said one of the vampires that attacked them was his brother, is that true?
