August quickly moved out of the way, moving with the crowd of people who knew where they were going. Floo powder was always fun. He thought it gave off a similar feeling to riding Gemini at Cedar Point. He reached a large fountain in the center of what he assumed was the main atrium, and moved to the ledge out of the main thoroughfare of wixen foot traffic. He fished out the notes he had taken, saying he had to register with the ministry before he worked.
August glanced around the large room, noting the flying papers filling the space about two feet higher then the crowds of people, looking for some kind of directory. He moved towards the large row of what looked like very odd elevators, when he heard one proclaim
“Department of Magical Law, Level 2″
“Welp, thats a start” he said to himself, as he was more or less pushed into the back of the small cage of the elevator. “Oop, sorry, scuse me, could you push the button for Magical Law department!” he called to the older witch near the buttons once the gates closed. This was met with a cold glare, before she pushed numerous buttons. Well thats rude August had thought, only to be shuttled backwards, causing him to grasp the wall behind him. He looked back at the witch, who was clearly laughing at him, before they came to an abrupt stop. “Here ya go yank, Magical Law” she hissed, as the cage doors opened. He pushed through the few rows to climb out of the death trap, to find a much calmer landing. He pulled at his sport coat, readjusting, and trying to regulate his breathing, before moving down the hall.
He came up to an open door, with a large desk piled high with papers, with a small witch working behind it. He cleared his throat, tapping his knuckles against the wooden door, before saying “Sorry, excuse me. If you could just help me find where to register a new wizard for a work visa? I am completely turned around and past the point of pride to ask for help.”
