NEDC to distribute relief materials to 1000 households in Auno -
At least one thousand households of Auno community in Borno state, who were victims of a recent Boko Haram attack, are to receive relief materials from the North East Development Commission. According to the agency, the gesture is aimed at temporarily cushioning the hardship being experienced by the victims.
The incident which happened about a week ago, led to the death of at least 30 people while houses, shops and vehicles were burnt to ashes. Relief materials to be distributed include assorted food items, clothing materials, blankets and mattresses. The Borno State Government and the beneficiaries are appreciative of the support. Other Households in the community who currently reside in IDP camps will also benefit from the gesture. The North-East Development Commission said it will also reconstruct all affected structures in the community so as to enable the people regain their means of livelihoods. Like this:Like Loading...
