It's been a year, but I wanted to share the obituary of my Great-Aunt Rena, who was an amazing woman and spectacular dancer. She founded and danced for the Israel Ballet, taught, and choreographed dance for decades.
Her husband (who was enough of a tool that she divorced him) was Concertmaster for the Israel Philharmonic and friends with Itzhak Perlman and Yehudi Menuhin, so she got to listen on some of the most amazing jam sessions in her living room.
Aunt Rena was effectively my grandpa's sister (technically cousin), and one of the first people my parents told about getting married. She and her twin brother (who lived in New York) died on the same day from a chest infection.
Her life is well worth sharing.
