Know what would have been interesting? If Arianna and Willow were twins. I mean, they already look so much alike. Arianna could still be the older sister, and the one with the expectations on her, but it would sort of hint at the original fairytale, in which Rapunzel gave birth to twins, which is very often a hereditary trait.

Having Arianna and Willow be twins could imply that Rapunzel eventually would, too.

I actually have! It’s been a very long time ago, though. When I was doing requests, someone asked me if I could draw a couple of scenes for their fanfic featuring Willow and Edmund. I don’t ship them personally, but it was a favor for a friend. 💜

As much as I talk about Beginnings, Gothel, and Frederic shaping how Rapunzel handles conflict even when she’s in the wrong…I have a strong feeling Aunt Willow contributed to it too. Cause what Willow’s doing here, this is exactly what Rapunzel does in season 3. Willow is almost completely content to sit back and relax with a distraction til Arianna comes back and apologizes so she doesn’t have to tackle her ugly feelings and her own mistakes.
