don't mind me just coming back from inactivity to say that while the pacing in Kindred was crunchy and I thought the plot was a lil basic I RLY enjoyed the characters and felt they each had their own unique voice and found their interactions with each other well-written and engaging (loved being roasted by my sisters every time I mentioned I had the hots for Kaine LMAO) and tbh I had a great time cuz I feel like great characters can carry a plot but a great plot can't carry sub-par characters

also I named my MC Amaranth and got startled when it was the name of the magic shop lmao

thx Brenda Song for teaching me about amaranth that one time years ago and having this information stuck in my brain

I’ve gone back and forth about wanting to get it colored but I think I’m gonna leave it as-is, my other tattoos are 98% just black so it fits in; I’ve also gone back and forth about getting the text covered up cuz wtf was I thinking with that placement lol but I don’t rly mind it anymore tho it has been a journey of strangers openly staring at my leg trying to read it

I don't mind having only one LI in books but I wish we had the option to not date them like we do in most multi-LI books

Tbh I wouldn't mind if PB made more single-LI books (coming from a player who usually makes out with everyone before you're forced to choose 😂😂), but I hope if they do they make it more plot-heavy (and not make the plot just being horny)

Other visual novels I play have multiple LIs but they have you choose which one you want to romance and then you go on a single-LI story with them (with bonus scenes I'm happy to buy). Not that I want PB to completely adopt this model, but having a single-LI story that is still engrossing without relying only on sexytiems is possible.
