“This experience has made me grow as a person in so many ways. I've looked at things from different perspectives, and also realized what's important in life. I've experienced laughter but also tears. I've learned to live life to the fullest and to never take tomorrow for granted. I've also learned how important it is to surround yourself with people who care about you and make you happy. 

This experience has given me time to think about the future, ambitions and dreams. I've learned to take more responsibility and I would say I've become a little more mature. I start to know what I want to do with my life.”

“There are many things I will take with me from this year, but one of the things I'm most grateful for is all the friendships I've found. Some live 30 minutes away in Sweden, others are countries apart. Before I left my home country I was worried about not meeting people where I were going, but it's never been easier to make friends than here. Everybody is curious, interested and so friendly. We're all in the same boat and when someone new arrives we welcome her or him with open arms. My adventures with them has made this year incredible!”

“I will always remember my host family. They have become my second family and I will always love my host kids and keep them in mind for the rest of my life. To never have been away from your family or country before for more then two weeks at the most, to leave all that you grew up in, that comfort zone, is a huge challenge both physically and mentally. You literally move to the other side of the world, without knowing anyone. But that's the beauty of being an au pair. You challenge yourself, you step out of your comfort zone and you make it work, all by yourself. To do this, you grow as a person, you feel that you can stand on your on feet and anything is possible.”
