Greenies looking for new homes!
Undel made an addition to the locked thread:
ohhhohoho ive been in a big bug mood lately and oh my GOD im in love with scuttle
Honestly the Auraboas situation is so funny to me. Not because the racism itself is a joke, but because this is EXACTLY how I expected site staff to handle it. They got called out for racist lore before, so instead of thinking "hey maybe we should double-triple check our lore blurbs to make sure nothing comes off weird", THEY DO IT AGAIN? EVEN MORE EGREGIOUSLY THIS TIME?
They draw the line at references to cockfighting and even the slightest HINT of fictional dragon suffering, but they can't be fucked to care about actual real-world racist stereotypes? FICTIONAL DRAGON SUFFERING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ACTUAL RACISM?
bro.
oh my god???
Sorry if someone’s done this already, but here’s Undel’s response to the auraboa feedback-
(Transcript under the cut)
I'm seeing the auraboa glottis snake post going around and saw something in the notes about teeth and that got me REALLY thinking, especially when paired with the official art.
Yes they're based on snakes, that's obvious, BUT they have fangs that aren't hinged and appear to be conical in shape suggesting the possibility of a few things
They could have a SECOND SET of fangs to inject venom as their rigid fangs dig in and hold onto the prey
They are very toothy-mouthed and their venom is similar to a komodo dragon's saliva. In which case they'd probably tear chunks off of their prey
Their fangs could actually function like a spider's fangs (perfect when paired with scuttle gene)
Either way they DO have some solid, and decently large teeth in their mouth
BUT REMEMBER! In the end, this is a fictional species so Really???? Draw them HOWEVER YOU WANT.
