hi!! for your ice-powered hero oc, what is their favorite and least favorite part about being a hero?

her favorite part of being a hero is getting to make a difference and actually help people. Also, being able to ice skate at any time is pretty fun!

her least favorite part is being so secretive. She's not the best at keeping her own secrets, but this is one she's had to learn to keep. Also, the side effects of having ice powers. She can never go to the doctor's office or a hospital without her identity being exposed. She can't be near a campfire without passing out, she has trouble swimming underwater because her cryogenic makeup makes her more buoyant, she can't use the stove or the oven for long periods of time without becoming dizzy, she's a lot less tolerant of heat in general, and since there's always someone running amok in the city, she doesn't have much time to herself anymore.

how would aurelis react to being put in cryogenic stasis?

well Anon, it's funny you mention that!

Aurelis' body goes into its own cryogenic stasis when it's taken too much damage. She basically becomes comatose and her skin frosts over while her body enters a process of deep freeze healing. Her heart slows to an imperceptible rate that most medical equipment can't even pick up. All the while, her body is healing itself and regenerating.

Now, she is not aware of this ability, and it's never happened before.

So imagine how fun that'll be, she gets seriously hurt, she isn't responsive, and no one can find a pulse? :3

No but to answer your question, Anon, I think she would really freak out. Like yes, the cold is comfy, but she doesn't want to be that vulnerable where only someone else can wake her up.

You know now that I'm writing this I am realizing that one of my worst fears as a kid (and now to some degree) is being buried alive. It would cause me so much anxiety I was so afraid of doctors not knowing I was still alive and then slowly dying in a coffin with no way to get out or call for help. Anyway, I'm wondering if Aurelis is gonna help me process this in a safe way. Who knows!
