it hurt, the searing pain stung his nerves to the point he felt like sobbing. the physical suffering had long faded, what remained was the ever present mental throb that wouldn’t cease it’s torment. he was broken mentally & physically, possessing the scars to prove such a fact. a flinch was given as a reaction at the sensation of a digit wiping the sanguine fluid off his cheek, a lip would twitch and he cowered a bit from the touch. (he was frightened, anatomy acting the same way as a scared animal would after being abused by their owner. stiff, barely moving and his breathing was rapid.)
’ no…y—you don’t have to… ’
words broke in a stutter, palm raising to rest over the damaged eye; that was the most important issue at hand, his appearance. (it was ugly, horrid, the way the socket where his eye used to be looked, it disgusted him. he didn’t want anyone to look at it, he didn’t want it to be seen.) that was one of the many reasons he didn’t want mikado to nurse it, and the other reason was the fear that kept growing deep from within his heart.
it would grow.

The gaze was kept-- unmoving-- on the visage of his friend. There was a gape betwixt the lips, a terror that seeped through beneath the palate like poisonous gas. Auricels distinguished the stutter that fell from the other's tongue and like a trigger-- a catalyst-- it fueled Mikado's inner core with a sudden rush of adrenaline-- it beat with a quickened pace, which made uneasiness spread-- a kind of giddiness captivating his muscle tissue and the immediate surrounding.
"I see----" Mikado looked troubled, his feet shifting in an awkward manner-- a heaving sigh abconded his gorge, dried out and rapacious for salvaging liquid, albeit there was only the own saliva to gulp down, and it would not reach. Strange-- a befitting word for current feelings as was the torturous intent of his own body. His smile seemed more saddened than before, a growing fakeness surrounding it, because the sorrow was clearly discernable still on facial features. "But that's not very reasonable, is it? I'm sorry, but I'd better change it--" a hand reached out, slowly, but lingered in the air-- waiting for his friend to stop covering the eye socket that needed caring-- he waited-- patiently.
