        “Oh.” This is the first time in all her sixteen years that she has ever received a love confession. She can’t say she didn’t see it coming, because she had definitely brought the topic up, but surpris- ingly, it was actually embarrassing to be on the receiving end. This wasn’t like receiving a ball. Her face heated up and she had to fight to stare him dead in the eyes. Usually, she was the talkative type, but now, her mouth was completely dry. She had no words, other than a small, “How long has this been going on?”

          “I’m not picking on you, I’m speaking honestly.” Hanging her head, she shuffled on the spot, awkward. “Does this mean that if you did like me, you’d have asked me out already?” Because it was certainly what he implied. “I mean, we’ve kissed--we’ve kissed a lot--sure, but in the end that doesn’t really amount to much. If you actually have feelings for me, Bokkun, I want to know.”
