Auro Lindbeck

Auro Lindbeck is a man that was the victim of a magical mishap which left him standing two stories tall. Known for being a troublemaker who sought any attention he could, an attempt to punish him for his behaviour with magic went wrong when a powerful spell was inflicted upon him by those illiterate with magic, making him a giant.

When Auro was around 11 years old, his father, Robert Lindbeck, left his family saddled with an enormous gambling debt when he ran out on them in the middle of the night. Because of this new financial burden, Auro's mother, Lydia Lindbeck, was forced to constantly be at work leaving her son neglected at home. Finding out that causing trouble and being a general nuisance meant that people would actually look his way, Auro spent his youth being a pain in the backside of all his neighbours, a behaviour that followed him into adulthood.

When a town meeting was proposed regarding what to do with Auro and his antics, one person suggested they use magic. Oakwood, the village where Auro lived, vehemently hated magic and was only tolerated in extreme circumstances. Apparently, Auro was an extreme enough circumstance. Their intentions were simple: shoot some fire and sparks in his direction like a flame to an animal to scare him straight. Unfortunately, due to their illiteracy in magic, and the source of their incantation being an ancient book left to collect dust in the back of the restricted section of the library, it went awry.

When the spell was cast, Auro was surrounded by a violent vortex of black smoke. Upon its dissipation, Auro realised that he had a rather nice view of the surrounding forests and mountains. He then looked down, and was horrified to realise that his nice view was due to the fact that he was 30ft tall and face to face with the clock tower. Realising that the townsfolk had no way to reverse this spell, they chased him out with pitchforks and torches, dooming Auro to live out his days in the wilderness, surviving on whatever scraps he could, whatever wildlife he could hunt and whatever livestock he could steal.

He has since lived out in the wilds for 6 years, having definitely been set straight and learned from his behaviour. But this...even he knew this was too much of a punishment. Did he really deserve this? To be permanently ostracised from society? Either way, he's here now, and chooses to keep pushing on, to keep living, to spite those back home who took everything away from him.

got into a flow state with him

once he realised he could fuck with one of the players for being attracted to cassius (lovely necromancer grandpa) he RAN with it and embarrassed this poor player so badly

he let up but oh man, he was peak auro tonight
