“Hermione and Millicent Bulstrode were still moving; Millicent had Hermione in a headlock and Hermione was whimpering in pain; both their wands lay forgotten on the floor.”

Professor Snape halted all duels to a stop and gave Professor Lockhart a menacing look calling the man a buffoon. Millicent released Hermione Granger straighten the Gryffindor girl’s tie and collar. “I’m sorry Granger.” 

Granger huffed and wandered towards Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter.

"Good grief Millie we’re supposed to use our wands not our fists” replied Daphne.

Didn’t your mother teach you the proper way of dueling? Pansy remarked

In fact Millicent mother did teach her, it was simple way disarming an attacker without the use of magic. It was self defense mechanism her mother was taught as a trainee auror. 

“Hand to hand combat is very rare, but a duel can always become unpredictable” Millie’s mother reminded her.

 Millicent took a deep breath and sized up her oppnenent. Hermione stepped forward raised her wand in an upward motion, Millicent used the the blade of her hand and chopped forcefully into the the girl’s hand. Hermione winced dropped her wand, Millicent kicked it away. Granger looked shocked for a moment and  then lunged, snatching Bulstrode’s wand.

Bulstrode used both her hands and yanked the Granger’s arm using the latter’s momentum to throw her to ground, then hoisting her up into a headlock.
