Liam still wasn’t quite used to using the magic of Miranda’s shop to get there; it was a little disorienting. But it was better than flying, and made his life a fair bit easier when he wanted to come see her. And today was a good day for that.
He wandered into the shop, taking a moment as the collection of scents hit him, sighing happily. They tickled his nose, but they also always sent a warmth up his spine he enjoyed. Though, that could’ve just been the general energy of the place.
Turning towards the register, he smiled warmly at the familiar redhead, striding over lazily. “Doin’ alright, darlin?” He hummed, leaning his side lightly against the desk. “Don’t suppose you can point me in the direction of the birthday girl?” He slipped his hand into a pocket to produce a wrapped package, roughly oval and slightly larger than the palm of his hand.

Abi shuffled through Devon’s front door, armful of presents preceding her, biting her lip as she manuvered. ‘Armful’ really just meant four, but one of them was a fairly large box in comparison to the other three, all of them wrapped in traditional, colorful paper.
“Happy Christmas,” She hummed out as she shuffled in, a little grin on her lips. She’d already sent a text to Ira and Aurora; ‘I’ve got a few presents at Devon’s if you can stop in some time today?’
Now she just had to decide if she would make Devon wait for them or not.
I went and got ice cream with a new person on tour and she was fantastic. It was like talking to some sort of bright and beautiful creature in a moment of darkness. I adored spending time with her and I hope that she and I could maybe hang out again because I could always use another friend. Another light. It might keep me afloat because things are getting so, so bad. So, so quickly.
Sighing, Luminous paused the tape with the blonde’s face suspended on the screen. She stared hard at the girl’s face, wondering where she might have seen her before. The way she spoke, exaggerating every movement and word, just seemed so familiar. It irked Luminous.
“...No, it’s not like that damned thief has any relatives.” She muttered to herself, turning off the screen. Slowly making her way to her messy desk, she pushed aside scattered sheets of paper and flipped several in an attempt to find a blank one.
After finding a small, torn sheet she picked up a quill nearby, which was acting as a paperweight for a pile of paper underneath. Then Luminous began to write, leaning down to reach the desk as she was still standing up.
I apologize for what I said earlier. Mentioning such a dark topic should have been avoided during a time like Christmas, but I, ah, forgot to do so. It is a bit late for Christmas gifts, but I hope you’ll accept this nonetheless.

Placing the letter, now folded, on a small book, Luminous wrapped the two in a thin piece of string lying around. Footsteps heard as a figure skipped down the stairs.
“Lumi! I’m about to head off to town now, is there anything you’d like?” Lania jumped off the last step of the stairs, her dress lightly puffing up before flattening out again.
“Ah, great timing. I just need this delivered to... that address on the tape we received earlier.” Luminous handed Lania the package, the young girl inspecting the bunch in response.
“Isn’t this your favourite book?”
“I think I’m... getting a bit tired of it. It’s going to a better place, anyway.”
