Tea and Talks ~ Walburga & Aurora

June 7th | Aurora and Walden’s residence| 14:00

Walburga had purposefully timed her visit to when Walden wouldn’t be home. She needed to get to know his new fiance away from him, and he was too uptight for Walburga to risk asking. No, it was her duty as a good friend to make sure this woman was up to par. Walburga remembered how devastated Walden had been over Emily. Sure he had concealed it well, masked it under anger, and she couldn’t blame him for that, feelings were weakness. They both knew it to some extent, however the benefits of the ally it provided were enough to often compensate.

Walburga knocked on the door with a bright smile on her face and a box of tea and biscuits. She had bought them from one of her favorite bakeries near by, just because she was suspicious of this girl doesn’t mean they shouldn’t enjoy themselves.  “Hello, dear.” Walburga said cheerfully walking in after the girl opened the door. She looked back as she walked towards the kitchen to put on a kettle for the tea. “I was hoping we could have a chat today. You see Walden is very near and dear to my heart and I would much prefer if I knew the woman he was intended to, especially if she managed to find that heart he’s kept locked away for so long.”

New World Allies - Walburga & Aurora

July 13th, 1979 | Late Morning | Walburga’s Apartment

Walburga has tried to start to settle into her new apartment, but it still hurt not being with Orion was one of the hardest things she’d ever done. She hadn’t been sleeping much, the images of him with another women haunting her in waking hours and the nightmares of her past terrorizing her while she slept. She knew she couldn’t have stayed. She had spent so much of her adult life trying to keep other pureblood women safe, and look out for them. How could she try to help them if she couldn’t help herself? She needed to do this for herself. Orion had shoved it into her face over and over that he didn’t want her. Not really. No the way she wanted him.

Walburga had tried to stay busy instead of focusing on the negative. She was in a new part of the city. This was a muggle dominated part of the city. She had chosen it so that she wouldn’t have to see anyone she didn’t want to, but it gave her an interesting opportunity to explore. Walburga had always been curious and she found muggles to be more of a curiosity than evil. They were like animals for her field study and even over the past few days she had so many questions. One of the most intriguing to her were the moving photos that seemed to put on shows and never stay the same. She did not understand what they were.

Walburga was avoiding many people but she knew two people who would understand were Walden and Aurora. Walden had been one of her closest friends for years, and Aurora had become a fast ally and friend. Walburga knew she was a half blood and hoped she might have some answers about the strange world Walburga had started observing. Plus, company was always appreciated to fight off the all enveloping sadness which so frequently threatened to consume her. Walburga had sent her an owl and knew she would be here any minute.

The knock at the door startled her slightly and pulled her from one of the strange muggle books. Walburga opened the door smiling at the woman and pulling her into an embrace. “Aurora it’s good to see you. Thank you so much for coming. So much has been happening and I just knew you might be someone who could understand. Come, sit, do you want tea, a snack, a meal?” Walburga offered slightly nervous and clearly happy for the distraction.

Changing Times - Aurora & Frank

Frank walked up the the apartment door his hands shaking. He needed to make this official. He needed to disassociate from Aversio formally. Frank couldn’t bring himself to try and talk to Dirk again... Not yet... Not in the light of day. So now he stood in front of the door of the other major leader of the group he had once, naively, held so dear to his heart. He rapped three times on the door of Aurora Sinistra hoping she was home. He needed to tell her; she should know his choice. Frank had known Aurora for as long as he could remember. She had always been kind enough. They had never grown to be very close, but life had taken them in different directions. Frank did wish things had worked out differently. He had always admired her strength and determination. “Aurora, please open the door. We need to talk.” His voice was low and raspy, a result of everything which had happened. Frank knew it would be back soon enough but he was glad for the absence of its usual strength. It wouldn’t have been fitting otherwise.
