Those of you who aren't as completely nearsighted as me might not get this. But sometimes I like to take off my glasses and just look. Just stare at the blobs of color as they walk past, talking to each other and occasionally to me. It seems to alleviate a lot of my anxiety, acting like a child, pretending they can't see me if I can't see them, a plausible excuse for me not saying hi, a break from the constant information flow into my brain. And then I put them back on the light frames which clarify my world and bring me back to reality, bringing all its weight with them.
My history professor is crazy. He assigns 80 pages of reading on a day when we have a 10 page paper due. Yeah right
