The Khaptehm Dynasty, Faithful To The Silent King Above All
(Part One.)
The Khaptehm Dynasty is ancient, having cemented their rule long before The Great Slumber, during the First and Second War of Secession. While the Dynasty had some measure of influence during the eras leading up to the War, it was the youngest son of Great Phaeron Khnum of The Riverlands that set the future of the Khaptehm Dynasty, Rha.
Rha was the youngest of the offspring to the royal family, as such he was taught and trained to be a Warden, for it was expected that his eldest sibling would the next Phaeron come the day. Rha was trained by the Royal Wardens in the art of warfare and strategic planning, to perceive the every action of his opponents and ensure total victory. Rha was given the undivided attention of the Library Keepers, absorbing the knowledge they guarded on poetry and literature, of diplomatic influences and psychology.
When the First War escalated, the Khaptehm Dynasty went to the aide the Szarekhan Dynasty, lending whatever able blade they had. But tragedy struck, and Rha was left as the sole living inheritor to the Crown. He took this task solemnly, and set forth to make an example of the Secessionists.
During the Second War he managed to get onto the same battlefield as the Silent King, Szarekh, and would end up saving the Silent King's life.

Since that day, Phaeron Rha would not leave Szarekh's side, His Dynasty fought side by side against the might of the Old Ones, the new Aeldari forces, the Krorks, and then finally the C'Tan. It was during the final revolt against the C'tan that Rha truly cemented his presence in the eyes of not only his Dynasty, but in the eyes of The Silent King. By slaying a C'tan known in texts only as 'The Sun God', though people are unsure if this is a different C'tan or is another name for Nyadra'zatha - The Burning One.
With his conquest, Phaeron Rha would become known as: Great Phaeron Rha, He Who Conquered The Sun-God. But during the many decades, centuries even, of the wars that burned through the cosmos, Rha and Szarekh would grow a close friendship, formally calling Rha a friend some time before the Great Slumber.
But Rha was not alone in his journey,, for he had his own son now: Ahmun. His only son. The sole inheritor to the Sun Crown. Rha had a heavy journey ahead, and He needed to prepare His son for the Great Slumber and his task following it.
Rha needed to be structured, strict, precise when educating his son, to be soft would invite flaws, invite hesitation, and hesitation could bring death.
All that Rha had learnt, all that he had experienced through times of peace and war he would impart onto the young prince. So that when The Sun Crown was passed from his brow, and onto Ahmun, He would be ready.. And that Szarekh would never be alone.
Rha held Szarekh in such close regard, He might even call the Silent King as a brother. For a time, Szarekh was happy to play the part,, until it wasn't a play anymore. Rha and Szarekh spoke with one another as close friends, siblings, father and son. The Crown that Szarekh was heavy, and lonely, but Rha was there to support him. And Szarekh taught Rha much through the years, and shared secrets.
Rha knew of the great journey that both the Necron race would embark on, and the even greater journey that Szarekh will take. A journey that Rha won't live to witness.

Ahmun-Rha now was the Phaeron of the Khaptehm Dynasty, a task neither he would take alone. His father Rha and Lord Szarekh had made sure of this, for Szarekh had an Heir of his own,, a Daughter whom would inherit the entirety of the Szarekhan Dynasty. Auset-Yah.
