1. Alice

Fuck Jonathan and his character bullshit, Alice destroyed this week and left no crumbs for anyone! She embodied a silkworm here perfectly. The way she draped herself onto the set makes her look so worm like. I live for the delicately placed hand on the length here and she looks so much taller than she already is. Her face is also stunning as well. I love the somber sorrow in her face with the tiny bit of surprise and curious in the eyes, with the somber eye contract to the camera, and her bird like features. Even if she just came in with a dead face, she’s so fucking model-ready that it adds to the shot for me really. Thank fuck the judges ignored the brief given this week because Alice 100% deserved her FCO for one of the best shots of AusNTM!

2. Anika

Anika didn’t fulfill the brief of “sexy kitten” (what the fuck even is that), plus she got the worst styling of the group (her boobs were just out there and it made her uncomfortable) but Anika did the best she could. She did keep it simple for this shot which works. The tenseness of the shot by pushing her body together with the dress is quite edgy and even the wide leg stance helps the pose more for me. She did have the most limited styling so hiding herself while tensed up adds a good dynamic to it. Her face is also great as always. I like how the shadow mostly covered her face yet you can see her dynamic eyes into the lens. Anika’s B2 was mostly due to her attitude on set (which was just her feeling conscious) which I disagreed with.

3. Jordan

Jordan embodied the spider assignment she gave herself best. I love how she raised her dress up the sides so she can look more animal-like and elevated the dress as a result. Her legs look fantastic and overall, her pose is one of the most memorable of the bunch. Her face is good, however it could use some work. She has a blank expression on her face and she did tilt her head too far down. However, even with the shadow all over, she still made a great illusion with her face and I like the eye peeking out. Jordan did one of the best of the week (even if she gave herself a easy assignment and a easy dress to work with) and continues her good streak of photos!

4. Sophie

Sophie made one of her best shots in weeks and then was eliminated for it, funny shit if I say so myself. I do think that the flaws of this shot is what makes the shot good for me. She lost her neck, has a blank expression on her face, it doesn’t even look like her, and the awkward arms makes the shot look odd and yet, looking at it like an art piece instead of a fashion photo, it’s one of the most beautiful of the bunch. The headpiece plus the curious facial expression is hauntingly beautiful and while I still find her pose awkward, she still did her dress justice. Sophie’s elimination was overdue though she did do her best shot to date!

5. Paloma

If it wasn’t for Paloma’s face, then this would be an easy boot for me. Her face looks great here though. The one eye peeking out of the shadows is piercing the screen and I like the more seductive vibe she’s going for with the face. However, her posing is a big mess. I mostly have it down here because of how stiff it is. Her legs are spread way too open, thus making her shorter than she actually was and the arms seem to be placed randomly. One arm is draped limbly but unlike Alice, it looks more like it’s about to fall off and the other arm looks tense. Overall, this pose has so much tension in it that it ruins the shot for me and it's a shame really because this has one of the best face shots.

6. Steph H

This is a big step down for Steph H after a few weeks of constantly good photos (ignoring the natural beauty shot) and my start of going WHY JUDGES WHY. At this point, Jodhi would defend Steph H with every fiber of her being, to the point where it becomes annoying so there may be some bias at this point. Her pose is like Paloma, too stiff and not enough angles to add to the shot. Her pose is one of the simplest of the group and from the waist down, I actually like it. However, I wish she did something with her arms instead of letting them go very stiff or oddly bent. Her face is also one of the worst she’s done in a while. She looks uncomfortable here and her attempted at a pissed off expression looks more like she’s trying to hold in a fart. Steph H starts her downfall here and will keep going down and down to the point of no return.

7. Danica

Danica again did the worst of the week but is that new? She’s doing the obvious here and even with the theme she gave herself which I can't even try to remember, she failed horribly at that front. Her face is the same as her natural beauty shot where she’s trying to go for dreamy when it looks more like she’s confused than anything. Her pose is fine but it’s just way too predictable. The way she’s holding the dress feels static and tentative, although I do like her legs and the way the fabric was been moved, that’s the only part I like really. I was shocked once again that Danica didn’t get the chopping block once again when even the judges hated her.
