Guys, if you are anywhere near any Dendy cinemas in Australia, they are having a Rainbow Retrospective film festival (showcasing a celebration of LGBTQI+ cinema). So if you missed out on seeing Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Moonlight, Monsoon, BPM, or even Rocky Horror Picture Show on the big screen, here is your chance. Full list of movies here. They are also having Studio Ghibli Film Festival (September 10 - October 14).

boop? :0
Also — australia asks: 14. do you enjoy your country’s cinema and/or TV? or 21. if you could send two things from your country into space, what would they be?
boop! :D
14. I do! Mostly TV more than cinema bc I've never been big on movies, but there has been a lot of Australian TV I've enjoyed over the years. Some of the more ... stereotypical sort of Aussie comedy I find kinda cringe? But there's some really good stuff out there too. It's kinda like a lot of things. A lot of the comedies I like bc that's what I generally tend to like but other things like soaps or dramas aren't really my thing.
I do maintain everyone needs to watch The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert tho. High class Aussie cinema right there.
21. oooo. Well. If it's 'sending into space as part of a satellite for alien contact purposes', probably some image/example of a native Australian animal like a kangaroo, emu, platypus, something like that. And then idk maybe some kind of plant image, maybe a eucalypt.
It's it 'yeet it into space and be gone!' kind of vibe, probably cane toads, and like. idk. *gestures at the general state of politics in this country*
