Both of these books were brought to my attention by booktubers. I don’t remember which, but I get many recs from black book bloggers, bookstagrammers, booktubers and twitter pages. Last month I ordered my copy of MORE by Austin Clarke. I’ve had for some years and have shared copies of The Polished Hoe, but haven’t read it. I know shame on me. My own books are the last to be read unfortunately. I will read books from my kindle or review books instead of choosing from my home library. . Both of these books sound right up my street. I enjoy historical fiction and if it is a book about slavery, WWII or set in other countries I’m buying it without question. I have snap shots of author page and both synopsis. Have you read either of these? . . #bookstagram #books #austinclarke #blackbooks #barbados #canadianfiction #thegillerprize #thepolishedhoe #MORE #amistadbooks #harpercollinspublishers https://www.instagram.com/p/B3e7JEbg69P/?igshid=auyi6mj7z5z6
