TIPS & TRICKS FROM LEADERS IN THE INDUSTRY - TIP 3 The latest tip we are sharing comes from Darren Vincent, the producer of our premium lawn seed Griffin Weeping grass. Darren recommends that when you sow Griffin weeping grass (or any weeping grass for that matter) DO NOT apply fertiliser. Griffin has adapted over thousand of years to Australian natural soils types , which are slightly acidic and low in phosphorus. Introduced grass species prefer quiet the opposite , that's why horticulalist recommend apply “starter” fertilizer and lime when sowing grass seeds. Weeping Grass doesn’t need fertiliser to germinate strongly and applying a high phosphorus fertiliser can actually prevent Weeping grass from germinating. So when you sow your new Griffin lawn keep it simple, seed, good soil contact and water, easy!! #nativeaustralianflora #aussiebackyards #australiangrasses #lawnscaping #lawnporn #nativeaustralianplants #griffin #lawns https://www.instagram.com/p/BuCqIPMgtFi/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=j5jaxpky7ka0
