Austromancy: Using the Wind as Divination
You may have heard the expression “Let’s see which way the wind blows” to refer to seeing how an upcoming occurrence is going to work out. This old saying, however, does point to the practice of austromancy, or divining through the use of breezes and other kinds of wind.

are you familiar with aeromancy or cloud reading? Could you please elaborate on what you know about it?
Yes, I am familiar with it, but I’mgonna be straight up with you and say that I don’t practice it. So whatknowledge I have about it is rudimentary at best. With that in mind, here’swhat I do know about aeromancy.
Aeromancy is a form of divinationin which atmospheric conditions (like clouds/lightning/wind and even meteors)are analysed to determine the future. Each of these aspects of aeromancy havetheir own name:
Austromancy:is a form of divination through observing the wind. Anemoscopy is austromancy in which the wind direction and intensityis interpreted, whereas nephomancyis divination by the interpretation of the movement of clouds.
Ceraunoscopy:is a form of divination in which thunder and lightning are interpreted.
Chaomancy: isa form of divination by aerial visions (while nearly synonymous with aeromancy),but usually refers to nephomancy or cometomancy; which is divination by theappearance of comet tails.
Meteormancy:is divination by meteors and shooting stars.
The Element Encyclopaedia of thePsychic World: The Ultimate A-Z of Spirits, Mysteries and the Paranormal byTheresa Cheung has a segment on aeromancy if you’re interested.
And that’s it. That’s all I know.Like I said, this is so not my area. So if anyone knows more about Aeromancyfeel free to jump in and fill in some more information ‘cause what I got is next to nothing.

Is anyone familiar with austromancy, aeromancy, or anemoscopy? Or divining through reading the wind, weather, and clouds, respectively?
