Not because they like humanity. At best the average human is a good source of free food to them. They it because if those humans die their baby brother venti is going to lose it

The last time a human that was very close to him died he took his face and became an alcoholic. If he wakes up and sees his favorite red heads are gone they are never hearing the end of it.

So you end up seeing this begrudging army of little spirits lifting Bennett back up after he fell. Or one tiny wisp dragging varka by the collar.

The wind spirits make it clear that they aren’t doing this because they like humans through little angry sounds. However injured albedo and sucrose do not speak angry wind chime and are a little more focused on the flying napkin.

They are give each others looks as if asking “are you going stop that drunk nun and sinner from falling into the lake or am I going to” before jumping into action

Barbara see their intervention as a sign that Barbatos was with her, Jean believes that Mondstadt is protecting her after she’s done so much protecting mondstadt, dahlia trying to ask about those two bards messy divorce

When razor tries to bite said wind spirits Andrius wants to laugh. However he can’t because he’s doing the same thing. If Istaroth catches word that he made her son cry, the fact that he’s her nephew isn’t going to save him.
