( Truthfully, it probably wasn’t even a wallet she was holding. )

Takes the time to slowly cover Kunikidas desk in sticky notes in its entirety.
Kunikida does appreciate the detail and effort put into it. He walked in, taken aback to see his whole desk covered with the sticky notes, in precise detail. He stood there in front of his desk and adjust his glasses, seemingly calm.
But, it is so utterly pointless and a waste of stationery that he’ll get mad anyways.
One, it was his desk. Two, sticky notes are not cheap. Three, because it’s most likely done by Dazai anyways. Otherwise, who has the time to even do this but him.
After thinking of those three reasons and a long sigh, it didn’t take him long to yell out, ❝ What the hell, Dazai! ❞
@autcphonomania / starter call
Chuuya receives Dazai’s text on an otherwise pleasant Friday afternoon. It’s an emergency please come immediately is the gist of the request, except the actual message is infinitely more obnoxious because Dazai is nothing if not obnoxious, and Chuuya nearly deletes it because he can already spot two problems with this:
He blocked Dazai’s number four years ago, coincidentally on the same day — in the same hour, actually — that he learned of the defection. He distinctly recalls himself pressing the “block” button; it’s one of his fondest memories.
Phrased in the kindest way possible, it’s Dazai. No amount of emojis and exclamation points will ever endear that man to Chuuya, as they’re both well aware.
And yet: here he is, twenty minutes later, in none other than the headquarters of the Armed Detective Company. Either he missed a leap of logic somewhere in there, or — and Chuuya elects to go with this explanation — he, unlike a certain few he can name (Dazai), is really too nice for his own good sometimes. It seems common decency not to turn a blind eye to someone’s genuine distress, plain and simple, no matter how much he may personally dislike them. Even Chuuya isn’t that petty.
Only, it’s becoming rapidly apparent that this entire ordeal has been a fucking massive waste of time, because as he stands in the doorway to the agency and sees absolutely nothing out of the ordinary, he begins to realize that he’s been played for a fool. Common decency, Chuuya thinks, can go screw itself; he finds himself scanning the room in the hopes of finding Dazai bleeding out somewhere, just so he can feel the satisfaction of turning on his heel and walking away.
Dazai is indeed present. He is also, to Chuuya’s dismay, alive and healthy.
“You bastard,” Chuuya says through gritted teeth, clenching his fists. Don’t start a fight, he tells himself. Not here. Not now. Not in the middle of hostile territory. “You said there was an emergency. There isn’t an emergency. I’m hoping there’s an emergency as soon as I leave, though, because that’s exactly what I’m about to do if you don’t give me an explanation for— whatever this is.”

As Dazai looks at him with curiosity, like he’s planning something, Lovecraft decides it would be best to destroy that before anything starts. He doesn’t trust this man. Even if his ability is useless here, he has annoying allies and seems perpetually up to something dislikable.
“Don’t. Whatever it is you’re doing, do not.”
His hand raises in both warning and threat. (It would be very easy to just smack him in the face right now, wouldn’t it?)
