We have barely known anybody who doesn’t like being outdoors, regardless of what he/she seeks from his expeditions it is undeniable that some instincts or rather some part of us still belongs to savage race. There are various notions of travelling subject to disposition of an individual. The very meaning of adventure lies in spontaneity which vanishes the time you are being stewarded by some adventure planners. We are not criticizing them after all they also need things to make bones with and the gullible and infirm adventure seeker serves their purpose very well.
We have divined one thing for sure during our expeditions that one can romanticize the beauty of sylvan landscapes and its inhabitants only when you are out to explore by your our own conscience and your Genius. You will have tryst with Nature and its indigenized and acclimatized masses by imbibing their provincial culture. We trust that a man acquainted with the various prevailing cultures on this broad earth is far much knowledgeable than a traveler travelling in the conformity of his own customs. Societies permeate in the sequester areas and prolific woods are themselves a subject to biologist, scholars, artists and poets.
Travelling around in the labyrinthine streets of Delhi as we were striving for truth and authenticity we also witnessed great deals of things both tangible and intangible. What bewitched me the most that some area like old Delhi (Jama MAJID, Pahadi Bhjola) and potters village (uttamnagar) lay in complete oblivion to a laymen still produce some fine arts of our country. The inhabitants of these colonies produce the decorous articles which grace our houses and our bodies. These colonies, squalid they may seem to some at the outset but then their wretchedness is because of our negligence. There are families still in era of rapturous modernization earning their livelihood with thaw and mud and working industriously to sustain the immemorial culture that predates the origin of Indian civilization.
Time and again our sojourns trigger the impulse of Novelty within our minds and tempt us to explore more and more of such exquisite arts hailing from diverse traditions. We believe that a person bereft of his culture can be equated with wolf prowling in the confinements of his self determined boundaries, utterly oblivious of the fact that his coveted leisure’s lie not within the hemming but outdoors and outside of those boundaries.
