Author's note: Very nearly a Rogue solo story, but when New Orleans is involved, you can bet Remy will show up eventually. As always, I write my character's with minimal accents. Mature audiences all the way through for violence, language, and some steamier scenes, but I will flag any especially smutty chapters for your protection. This takes place shortly after the end of the last Gambit solo series, pre-Uncanny Avengers' 'Apocalypse Twins' storyline. Hope you like it!

I recommend this because I read this fic a long while ago and is part of Romy Fiction History, you just have to read it. If you want references about her, she is the author who wrote Treading Water, the most hate/loved fic on Romy fandom (I will review it in future entries.)

The timeline starts off-camera during the first issues of Uncanny Avengers, volume 1, then diverges sharply from there. For mature audiences only due to language, violence, and sexual situations. I will flag the naughtier chapters, but just to be safe the whole story gets an 'M' rating.

I recommend this because this story will captivate you. I at least read it twice, it is set in Space, nothing related to MMX, where their survival skills will be tested.

Content/Author Notes: Author's notes: So, I'm supposed to be taking a break from writing, but this story has been hanging out on my computer for a little while and I thought I'd share it just for fun.

This popped into my head after watching Avengers-Civil War this summer. The Avenger featured alongside Rogue in this story is the Winter Soldier, but I confess that I mainly know the character of Bucky Barnes from the movies (go ahead and picture Sebastian Stan while reading this). I haven't read much of his history in the comics, mainly the Brubaker/Epting run where he was re-introduced, so I didn't flag this as a Bucky Barnes's story in case my continuity is a little screwy – like I said, this is just for fun.

This story is set shortly after Rogue first joined the Avengers. She has control of her absorption ability and does not have Wonderman's powers. Not sure where Bucky was during that timeframe, but for the sake of this story, he was running covert ops missions wherever he was needed. Kept things pretty PG-13, I wasn't looking to start any new ships or anything, just thought the two characters would play well together. Enjoy!

I recommend this because is hot a tamed way and really hope sometime in the future hpcooper do a continuation of this. And if you are a Romy fan this fic will like you, give it a try, is really good.
