When you’re writing and then your character reaches that crucial moment that is so difficult to write and so you start thinking “god why did I start doing this thing and put myself in this situation?”
A/N: So, it really took me a while to write this, buuuut it’s done! It’s more like something I came up with after discussing the plot with another friend and- I mean, there is nothing much to say about this, but for something who started with us joking around, I like the outcome.
Summary: After finishing a tough and annoying expedition, Fai lures around the guild base a little longer, finding Forti in the balcony, they both end spending some time together.

Finally. When the group saw the dungeon's boss falling into its back, everyone exchanged looks, sighing and groaning as they could finally rest. What in a normal scenario would be a reason to party or to just move on to the next dungeon, was just the break they needed to rest.
Due a few mistakes here and there, the expedition took much longer to be completed and all the members decided to return to the Guild Base, that should be enough to call that a day. Once arriving, Fai waved for the other members of his party, one logging off right away and the other deciding to farm something else, less tiresome, the redheaded dumped a few guild coins in the treasure chest and rose his arms above his head, stretching his back. "The apples must have already grown," the boy muttered to himself, walking past the guild mascot and the banner and heading straight to the little farm.
He was right. Everything was ready to harvest, at least one thing went right that day. Fai prepared a little bag to start picking up the fruits, reaching for them and emptying the field again once he was done. The knight was about to head to the next one when he heard a loud whistle coming from above. God? No, God wouldn't call someone like that.
He looked to up and found Forti, leaning against the balcony and waving to him. So someone besides him was hanging around the guild base in the end, not everyone had logged off after the expeditions.
"What are you doing there?" The redheaded asked, placing a hand above the eyes to protect them from the light.
The white haired remained in silence, just signing to Fai to come over. The knight sighed, signing back for the other to wait.
The fire magician rushed his harvest a little, even leaving things a little messy and headed upstairs, peeking over the corner for a few seconds before walk in, leaning his back in the balcony as he got close.
"Hi hi..." Forti almost purred, watching Fai approach with the corner of his eyes, "I thought you had went with the others to farm a little more."
"I needed a break, we took a way to much time to finish the expedition, I'm tired."
"Hm... was it that bad? ~ Hahah," the boy asked, quickly noticing the annoyed expression on the redheaded's face and coughing, looking away, "Well, but it's over now."
"And what are you doing up here, Forti?"
"Ah, well... Waiting for you, I was going to invite you to farm a little more, but I heard you talking with the others when you came back and I thought it was better to leave it for some other time," it wasn't something worth a lie, it was just better to tell right away.
Some wouldn't call it a proper date, but farming the Master Road with each other had slowly became their thing. Everyday, pretty much at the same hour, it was a good moment where they could enjoy each other's company and just let the time pass by, besides making something actually useful.
"I mean, now is 'some other time', right?"
Forti chuckled, "you are tired silly, we don't have to. That necklace isn't going anywhere, we can do it later."
"But what about the time you spent waiting up here?"
"Well, you are already paying it off," the white haired smiled, tilting his head to look to Fai.
"Am I?" The redheaded asked, genuinely curious. Fai placed his hand over his mouth as he yawned, rubbing his eye after it, "I don't feel like I'm."
"But you are, tho, I even prefer this other the farming... I don't have to be worried about getting attacked here, at least."
"Well, you not completely right..."
"What do you me-" Before he could finish, he felt a hand on his shoulder, turning him around and making him lean his back on the balcony. Forti turned silent, totally speechless. Fai was so close...
"Fai..." The boy called out, the pink shades quickly becoming brighter on his cheeks, specially in contrast with his snow-like white hair. The fire magician pushed a strand of hair away from Forti's face and smiled.
"Yes? Is there a problem?"
"No, I mean, yes, I mean... Ahm, what are... what are you doing?"
"Talking to you and... making it worth the wait."
"Worth the..? You don't... really have to, you know? I didn't meant it like tha- Ah! Fai!!" While the white haired was melting into a puddle of nervousness, Fai managed to sneak a hand behind and softly grab one of his buttcheeks, wearing a smirk on his face instead of the previous smile.
"Yes? ~"
"You..."
"Hahah, now, you were saying you prefer this over the Master Road's farm? You are not getting lazy, are you?"
"No! I, I didn't meant it like that, it was just-"
"Then, how you meant it?" Fai whispered, now having his head a little closer while the other felt like a prey in distress.
"It is just... good to hang around with you, that's what... I mea-" He interrupted himself with a yelp as Fai squeezed his butt again, "can you not?"
"Hmm... I will try, but I won't promise anything."
Forti groaned, getting even more flustered, how things escalated like that?
...
...
...
Why wasn't he saying anything?! Forti nearly panicked staring Fai in silence like that, locked between the other boy's body and the balcony behind him, the white haired have very little space to squirm around, specially with the redheaded still holding his butt.
"Can... Can you let me go?" Forti spoke in a rush, lowering his eyes. The whole situation was embarrassing enough without have to look the other in the eyes.
"Hmm, not yet, I still have one more thing to do."
"One more? Then... then do it already..."
"Huh? Why the rush now, you were so patient a while ago...."
"How can you be so shameless-"
Fai got the boy speechless again, this time by pressing his lips on the other's, wrapping his free hand around Forti's torso while slowly moving his mouth.
The white haired widened his eyes in surprise at first, both his hands holding the redheaded's tightly by his shoulders, but it didn't took much before he gave himself to it.
It felt good, kind of warm... Fai knew exactly how to make it, the teasing, the moves, everything was as perfect as it could be. Forti tensed up once he felt the grip on his buttcheek loosing up and then tightening again, it was clearly how nervous he still was, but that was working so well that the redheaded couldn't think about stop doing it.
They would break the kiss every once in a while, just to quickly catch some air before press their lips into each other again. The white haired slowly moved his arms, bringing the fire magician into a hug,
It took them a few more seconds before finally stop, Fai gasping before look into the other's face, "I think that's a proper use of the time you spent waiting for me... or should I go a little further than this..?"
"No, no, I-I mean, if you want to, b-but I think it's... really... well paid now..." while the redheaded was composed and almost totally recovered, Forti was still a mess, melted into a blushing puddle of gasps, so that was why he was called a fire knight...?
"Well... I still have a few things to do today, want to come with me?" The other asked, slowly letting go of the white haired's body.
"Ah, sure... let's go..." A pinch of disappointment in Forti's voice as he followed the Fai to the staircase again, looking up as he felt the other holding his hand and greeting him with a smile. The boy nodded, following his friend. After all, it was really worth the waiting.
