"In the Greek times, when the gods were the rulers, there were two men who had a story more similar than they thought to each other. Chanyeol, a narcississtic jerk who never returns the love others throw upon him, and Baekhyun, a poor earth nymph cursed to repeating the words of others and one of the many broken by Chanyeol. Their time together was brief, but the one sided passion was real, and as the times unfold by Kronus’ doing, they grow closer without even realizing."
Welcoming the New Members of fuckyeahexodrabbles
Hello everyone! This is Admin C, the original creator of fuckyeahexodrabbles.
First off, I would like to apologize for the lack of updates on the blog. A lot has happened in my life the past few months and I haven't been up for writing. But things are clearing up for me personally, and that problem shouldn't be so much of an issue in the future anymore anyways.
I would like to introduce the new additions of the blog!!
Admin G, Author L, and Author J will now be assisting on the blog with recommending and writing drabbles! I will continue to write as well, but there will be a lot more updates and activity with their help.
Check out the admins page for more information about the wonderful new members of fuckyeahexodrabbles and please give them a warm welcome! ^^
The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson
I love Maureen Johnson. I follow her on Twitter and have seen her on the Vlogbrothers' YouTube channel. But the only other book of hers I've read is 13 Little Blue Envelopes, which I also loved. But The Name of the Star is solidly in my normal genre of YA paranormal/romance. The Name of the Star is about Aurora (Rory) Deveaux. She lives in Louisiana but, when her parents say they have to go to Bristol for business, decides to go to a boarding school in London called Wexford. Just as she arrives, however, a series of murders begins and it looks like someone is copying Jack the Ripper and Rory may be in certain danger. I loved this book. I had it with me at all times and read it whenever I had a spare moment. It consumed me like a book hasn't done in a while. I thought Rory was a great character, not the usual damsel in distress that we are quickly coming to expect. But then, I would expect nothing else from Maureen. And the supporting characters were just as interesting and dynamic. The story of Rory and her friends is set against the growing dread and fear as a Second Ripper takes hold of the attention of London. And, of course, there's a bit of romance thrown in for good measure but it's certainly not the main storyline. Which is good. It seems to me that, sometimes, an author throws in a romantic storyline and it completely takes over the storyline even though it was completely superfluous to begin with. Final remarks: I thought it was an interesting story about past and present intertwining, all around a girl from Louisiana with a paranormal ability. And I have a morbid interest in serial killers... Final: A
